Defence Industry Minister, Christopher Pyne, announced a massive expansion of jobs and industrial growth in the region with ship-building contracts.
“By the late 2020s, the naval shipbuilding industry will expand to more than 5200 employees in construction in South Australia, and more than double this in sustainment and through the supply chain across the country,’’ Mr Pyne said.
A Maritime Technical College is being established to train locals in the trade, further adding to the economic expectations of the West. What better time to move or invest in the region than now!
